T ElodyThe El♥dy-The Elody are an exciting new girl group consisting of four unique and remarkably talented young ladies. Abz ,Tanya, Sally and Natasha. Abz is the chilled out diva of the band with amazing soulful vocals, she adds her own individual smooth flavour to the group. Tanya is the outrageous and energetic one of the group, with big vocals and an even bigger heart, you can't help but fall in love with her charismatic ways. Sally is our sexy Manchurian rock chick. With her mischievous ways and her wicked, playful sense of humour, our girl always puts the chuckle into every day. Natasha is our happy go lucky Irish sweetheart. With her infectious personality and her addictive Irish charm Natasha is the character that brings her own fresh 'n' funky style to the group. Many girl groups are criticised for not being able to sing or only having one strong singer. The Elody have 4 strong singers. Not since the Spice Girls have we seen a girl band that oozes personality, The Elody have bountiful energy and charisma and are instantly likeable. They are also extremely fashionable, edgy but very accessible. HOW IT ALL STARTED Natasha and Tanya have been best friends since their school days. At the end of 2008 they went on a search to find two other members to join the group. Thus ensued an extensive campaign for which they advertised in the Stage and other industry magazines and booked expensive studios to hold the auditions in. Finally, in a scene reminiscent of a reality talent TV show, on the last day-when they were ready to give up hope of finding the complementary members of their quartet-entered ABZ and Sally. Shortly after this awesome foursome was formed, Natasha read about Dancing on Ice -Ice Star. This was a new segment to Dancing on Ice which was looking for talented people to perform on the program. She applied to audition-and so begun the first exciting stage of the girls‘ journey. Hopes were not high for getting through even the initial stages of the competition as the girls couldn’t and I quote “skate for toffee!” However Torvill and Dean kept putting them through. You can see Torvill and Dean’s reaction on the first week of the televised show at the following link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSHDtvW1Hg8&feature=channel . Torvill and Dean were impressed by the girls ability to sing on ice because of the inherent differences in performing either skill well. Skating performances that involve singing are normally always pre-recorded. The girls were not deterred. When they were put through further rounds they embarked on a gruelling rehearsal schedule, putting in10hrs a day on the ice preparing for the next show. Amazingly, out of thousands of competitors the girls reached the final of the competition http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LUlCm8H-gY&feature=channel . In performing on this show, the girls were watched by 12 million viewers on ITV for 5 weeks in a row on prime time television. This invaluable exposure has led to the girls being frequently recognised wherever they go. The programme has performed an excellent platform for the Elody name and in publicising the girls faces. Now they want to put a product and their music to go with this. External Websites
