Can you believe another year's gone by already! It seems like only yesterday we were waking up with the summer sun in our eyes, trying to decide which sandals would give our feet maximum exposure for tanning while keeping them well separated from the (extremely hot) concrete floor. Well believe it or not the good times will soon be upon us again! Two months from now we'll be stripping down to our bare essentials, exposing our bony frames and soaking in what menial sun we get as we head down to Brighton for The Great Escape Festival 2010!

To kick off the festival season, every year Brighton hosts an amazing weekend of fresh new UK music. Only the best up-and-coming acts will be performing across the three day weekend, starting with a bang on the Friday 13th May and coming to a sad sobering end on Sunday 15th.

This year's critically acclaimed acts such as Ellie Goulding, Delphic, Chase And Status and Marina And The Diamonds are just some of the 350 names that are drawing over 15,000 people and 5,000 industry heads down to the coast for a wet and wild weekend!

Admittedly it's not much of an escape for the residents of Brighton And Hove, but for those who love a bit of live music, sun, bare feet and beer, you'll want to make sure your schedule is clear! So send the kids to Butlins for the weekend (18+ event), give the goldfish enough to last a week, and tell your girlfriend it's just not going to work out because you're in for one hell of a treat at The Great Escape Festival this year!
